As a dedicated husband and father of two teenagers, I understand the importance of creating a safe and vibrant community for families in our area. My experience as a junior football coach and my regular training sessions in our local parks reflect my commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and community engagement. I am passionate about upgrading existing sporting facilities for both male and female participation as well as preserving our unique open spaces for the wider community to enjoy on a daily basis.
I embody the Australian value of "having a go," and pride myself on being a good listener, always open to the ideas and concerns of my fellow residents. I believe that my fresh voice in local government can bring new perspectives and solutions to the challenges we face. Safety is paramount, and I am dedicated to ensuring that all initiatives enhance our community's well-being.
I also recognise the vital role that our thriving café and shopping strips play in fostering a strong community and supporting local businesses. If elected, I am committed to making a positive impact, working tirelessly to ensure that Bayside remains a wonderful place to live, work, and play for everyone. Together, we can build a brighter future for our community.
My vision for Bayside city council:
My vision for Bayside is to create a safe, inclusive environment where all community members have a voice. I will prioritise the upgrade of existing sporting and recreational facilities, enhance public safety measures, and maintain our vibrant and essential open spaces. Our natural beauty here in Bayside, the foreshore and magnificent parks, must be preserved and i want to be part of this council to implement this priority. Together, we will foster a sense of belonging, connection, and well-being for all ages in our community.
Some attributes which will help me undertake the role as a Bayside City councillor:
A personal health and fitness advisor aspiring to be a local councillor should possess strong communication skills, empathy, leadership qualities, and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of health policies, community engagement, advocacy skills, and integrity are essential. Adaptability and strategic planning will ensure effective representation and promotion of community safety and health initiatives.
